Anyway my Peltier cooling unit just arrived, time to make a portable aircon unit for myself =)

Most of the student wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law
(gas cools off when it expands and heats up when it is compressed) or
some variant answers. One student, however, wrote the following:

First we need to know how the mass of hell is changing in time. So, we
need to know how the rate that souls are moving into Hell and the rate
they are leaving. I thinking that we can safely assume that once a
soul gets to hell it will not leave. Therefore no souls are leaving.
As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different
religions that exist in the world today. Some of these religions state
that if you are not a member of their religion you will go to Hell.
Since there are more than one of these religions and since people do
not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all people
and all souls go to hell. With the birth rates as they are, we can
expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially.

Now we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell. Because
Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in
Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand as souls are
added.

This gives two possibilities.

(1)

If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls
enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase
until all souls break loose.

(2)

Of course, if Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of
souls In Hell, than the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell
freezes over.

So which is it? If we accept the postulate given to me by Ms. Theresa
Banyan during my freshmen year that “it will be a cold day in Hell
before I sleep with you”, and take into account the fact that I still
have not succeeded in having sexual relations with her, then (2)
cannot be true, and this is why I am sure that Hell is exothermic.

Just got my Dremel 300, wonderful tool, gonna set it to work on my Aquarium LED light tmr =)

Binary clock is done, looking real nice and casing is done too, BUT! several probs, which I will probably solve this weekend or smth.. (CS PE on saturday :|)

1. 7805 still heating up a bit, but not to insane levels given the small heatsink screwed on.

2. Power plug for clock most probably has fractures in the single core wires after prolonged abuse =P will need to remove and re-do.. what a pain after I set it all in hot glue and epoxy.

3. Going to change the 17 base resistors from 22k to 47k to reduce LED brightness.. should’ve used them from the start =P

Here’s my simple ideal weekend! ->

Waking up to rain outside the windows, dimly light all around. After snuggling and lazing for awhile with your other half in bed, then waking up to make pancakes together for breakfast. Lastly, a movie marathon all the way on a comfy couch! =)

Today, it came true!!

Firstly, my parents went out of town to Maur, Malaysia for the day, from 5am to like midnight. So that means today was a kids’ alone day.

We woke up at 1.30pm, feeling like it was 7.30am thanks to the gloomy, chilly and silent weather (my fav kind!) Went on to have my dark coffee in a kuksa and dipped croissant for my “pseudo breakfast”. tp had glutinous rice heated up, cuz she insisted it was supposed to be lunch.

Next we prepared the bed, set up the tv with the THIRTEEN episodes of Glee tp got from kelvin at DSI and snuggled up to watch!! so shiok!!

At about 7pm, we ordered pizza, which came 30mins late, and at 8.30pm all the kids at home were wolfing down pizzas.. hahaha life is good.

Snuggled back into bed with tp and finished all remaining episodes of Glee.. cleaned the room up, showered and here I am =)

what a wonderful day =)

P.S. I changed out my old hard back-aching wooden chair for a comfy one.. -contented sigh-

But just took on an exciting website project, should be fun! and time to hone my skills too.. hmm

And jacq is going uni soon to SoC.. should be interesting too! someone else to do coding with haha..

She’s been playing with DrScheme lately and for the first few days she’s doing pretty well =)

That’s all! I need more sleep.

This conversation happened while we were checking out the new Somerset 313, very nice place, look forward to a full blown post at her blog (http://www.tingpinggggg.com) about it. Within 3 minutes of walking into Harris bookstore at 313, I found this! a Big sign which said:

“Magic Fish”

Of course, I had to check it out. Other keywords started popping out: instant fish! miracle of life! just add water!

Suddenly all the feelings of first discovering “Sea Monkeys” came flooding back hehehe.. so, even though I know the only few fishes that can achieve such a feat of having eggs in diapause like the Seamonkeys were killifishes, I JUST HAD TO GET IT.

It’s magic fun! instant fun! wahahahaha and its been a long time since a cool toy like this came out.

So the dearie promptly grabbed it, bought it, (it was a costly $30 small box) and there I was grinning happily at the cool xmas present I got this year. Though she kinda banned me from taking the toy out to check it out again after the 3rd time =P

Shall update more on tiny fishes pics and hope they actually survive. and that I get one of a cool colour =)
